Whats the issue with digital fear

I use to get this pop-up on my computer that said warning you have a "everything that can go wrong with a computer' that trick to get you to buy random software. Now flash to 2010 and I get this message on skype with the same warning. Its crazy how fear is used to market everything under the sun. What happened to good old fashion customer service on a quality product designed to last beyond consumer expectation.

Building a strong network is the most important part of marketing in this new global social society. The old ways of connecting with the public will not work in a way that will keep you're brand in business for long. The team at RapTV loves the concept of higher education. However year to date we have not hired any individual who had a degree in social networking because there simply is no such thing. What we require is proof by content that an applicant is able to do the job. In short if you can not optimize for you. How then can you optimize for us?
We require that you have postings which appear on the top 50 pages of the organic search on a minimum of 25 search sites.
We require that you have a minimum network of 100,000 people to whom you are directly connected.
We require that you have a profile on a minimum of 200 social networks.
We require a minimum subscriber; viewer; member; base of 25 contacts per social site.
We require a minimum of 500 blog or micro-blog posts over the last 6 months.
We require a minimum topic range of 50 subjects for the last 6 months.
We require a minimum of 10 new website subscriptions per week.
We require a minimum of 10 new website invites to us per week.
We require that the email address you use for the social networks be the same as the email address you use to submit you're resume to us.
When you send a resume to Rap TV you want to show only the things we stated.
Please note that we will not work with you if you use a robot or any type of service which feeds mass email blasts out to gain members ; viewers; subscribers or requests comments be posted on any of our pages blogs micro-blogs or profiles in exchange for or by promising rewards of any type. We will not process you're application. Over the last 26 years Rap TV has built an organic network of real people worldwide based on our continued content contributions to the social networking and business networking world.
